EIG14T is Hiring a Construction Project Manager Near Berkley, MI

The construction Project Manager is responsible for the overall success of the project and all financial impacts, while having the best interest of EIG14T in their daily activities. The Project Manager will oversee 8-15 projects in various stages and takes full ownership of every project their managing, ensuring the project is completed within budget, on-time, and meeting company quality standards.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Manage all assigned on-going projects regarding schedule and budget.
  • Responsible for meeting the established schedule and budget.
  • Coordinate and meet with Development and design team to review plans, provide comments, and a project pass off.
  • Managing on-going plan changes/tenant requests – making sure all changes are captured in prime contract and change orders are prevented. If not possible track with appropriate approvals and Change Orders.
  • Coordinate with tenant representative for job-site walks.
  • Producing bid leveling after completing post bids/budgets for Director of Construction to approve.
  • Review and prepare all contract documents that GC’s provide with the help of in-house counsel.
  • Conduct post-project assessment with warranty manager.
  • Ensure all bid packages are up to date/accurate and set clear expectations to all bidders.
  • Financial management of projects
  • Review Gc’s project schedules and track & report to Director any variances.
  • Review and approve pay applications with Management.
  • Coordinate and track plan issues and changes communicating them with development manager
  • Verify building is built to plans and specs
  • Adhere to company policies and ensure GC’s do as well
  • Review and resolve RFI’s and Submittals in a timely manner (3 days and 5 days respectively).
  • Assist and provide mentorship to Project Administrator and Project Engineer where needed
  • Constantly strive for process improvement.
  • Other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Superior knowledge of construction management processes and leadership approaches
  • Experience with construction management software packages
  • Outstanding knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards
  • Competent in conflict and crisis management
  • Good time-management skills
  • Ability to multi-task & delegate
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Critical-thinker and problem-solver
  • 3-5 years of relevant construction management experience
